Medical clinic

Only went as I was unable to get in anywhere else at short notice after being sick for a week with no signs of getting better. Very poor and unprofessional care given by Dr Kenworthy during my visit- very dismissive, did not complete a proper assessment (including not using proper equipment and just not checking something I mentioned as an issue), and blamed me for how I was experiencing my symptoms instead of offering options. Would rather have stayed home- definitely not worth attending this practice

Both the Dr here and staff are absolutely lovely and incredibly professional. Always thorough and actually listen to your concerns without rushing you. The practice itself is beautifully set out and maintained to a very high standard!

Called to get IUD removed. Explained to receptionist when I was booking appointment that I specifically wanted it removed. When I arrived at the appointment the doctor was not told and had no clue I was in for a iud removal so the doctor and nurse were running around like headless chickens trying to organise everything. Didn’t have the equipment to remove it either and got told to get an ultrasound and then to see a gynaecologist which I never needed to do. Went with another gp and they removed it in minutes.

Most friendly staff I have ever encountered. I have been to a few different doctors at this practice and all have made sure I understand what they explain. Waiting times sometimes vary, but it makes sense since the doctors are making sure they give you their full attention and are very thorough.Thank you!

If I could give zero stars I would. The receptionists are absolutely zero help. Waited three weeks for an appointment, then the day of said appointment, Doctor is sick (which is completely unavoidable). Was told they would reschedule me and call me back…no call back was ever received. Tried to call to see what was happening and when they could get me in, no record of the reschedule but that I was going on the priority list and they were going to call me back. Once again no call back and trying to call them again resulted in another very confused receptionist who didn’t know anything but that I could be booked in in two weeks. Over a month from the original appointment. Ridiculous. If this was a Doctors in any capital city, they would be crucified for the lack helpfulness and professionalism….but this is Karratha so there isn’t many options. Karratha Medical Centre (Not Sonic Health) receptionist was very simpathetic, and called me back with a cancellation later that day. I know cancellations occur, but a simple process to get you back to the front of the line makes sense, given how long you have to wait for an appointment to begin with. Do better.

Last time I had an appointment with this practice I was told to have chicken soup to aid with my flu symptoms. This was the only help and advice I was given. Needless to say I will not be returning.

My family and I have been loyal to this practise for the last 35 years (since late Dr Teasdale) and I always loved it as a great modern clean practise with plenty of parking, caring doctors especially Dr Krishna and fantastic receptionists especially Mel who always goes above and beyond to assist. Her genuine compassion and charming smile adds a lot of joy to the experience! Keep it up Mel !

Duchess Medical Practice is fantastic. I've been going there for the last 4 years. I have a wonderful dr who has been very supportive and the staff are lovely. I would highly recommend them.

I have been attending this practice for about a year now having been to all the others; the doctors have been excellent - thorough, friendly and communicative, motivated and technically competent - I unreservedly recommend. We are fortunate in having such high quality medical services so readily accessible.
